Geiling Auto

My first time experience was great! Rene and Steve were both courteous and respectful of my desire to keep my 13 year old Highlander, and to transition from dealer service to local small business. I have a road map now that I needed to keep this Toyota up and running til the sun don’t shine.

Edit: The same job that I previously paid $60 for at this establishment and was told it would need to be $135 this time because of "stripped lugnuts" took 15 minutes at another shop for $30. Rene is rude and incompetent. After reading through the positive reviews, I'm confident Geiling has scammed several people. I brought my car in to have a tire mounted that I had already purchased. Before 8 a.m., I received a call trying to sell me a new tire. After I explained that I already had one and only needed the mounting service, I received another call about 30 minutes later claiming my lug nuts were stripped and that it was a safety issue. The lug nuts in question are the same ones shown in the attached photos. They were clearly visible before the vehicle was brought in, and I have since confirmed they are not stripped. My long trusted second generation mechanic moved to the Northshore post Katrina. I have not had a regular mechanic since until I discovered Geiling about a year ago. Their work and service is first rate, and their prices seem very reasonable to me. I highly recommend them. At last, I once again have an honest, trusted mechanic!

Finding a trustworthy mechanic can be difficult, so we were relieved after having such a positive experience with this repair shop. They diagnosed the issue with our car quickly, explained the repairs clearly, and provided an estimate before starting any work. Compared to previous auto shops where communication felt vague or rushed, this business was much more transparent and professional overall. The repairs were completed on schedule, pricing stayed fair, and the car has been running perfectly since the service. It’s reassuring knowing we now have a reliable shop we can return to whenever maintenance or repairs come up.

Great experience from start to finish. I dropped my car off the night before for an oil change and tire rotation, and everything was taken care of the next day without any issues. The process was super easy and convenient, and my car was ready for pickup by early afternoon. Really appreciated how smooth and hassle-free it was—will definitely be back!
